Levitra precautions
Never take PDE-5 inhibitors such as Levitra if you're taking nitrate-containing medications used to treat chest pain. Drugs that contain nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide mononitrate when combined with Levitra cause a dramatic drop in blood pressure that may lead to fainting, heart attack or stroke.
Like with any other prescription drug, Levitra may interact with other substances or medications. So make sure to inform your doctor about any prescription, non-prescription medications, vitamins, herbal supplements or street drugs that you're using. You should also tell about any of the following conditions if you were diagnosed with such:

These conditions may require your doctor to adjust your Levitra dosage to a safe level.
Avoid drinking too much alcohol or using recreational drugs when taking Levitra in order to avoid its negative side effects. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice are known to interact with Levitra, so it is recommended to discuss it with your doctor if you have any products containing grapefruit in your dietary regimen.
It is also highly recommended to avoid mixing Levitra with other erectile dysfunction drugs such as yohimbine and alprostadil without your doctor's approval. |
